Based in Palm Springs, California, Jim A. Landé is a lead Producer of the 2016 Sundance Film Festival- and Berlinale/Berlin International Film Festival-premiering feature LITTLE MEN (distributed by Magnolia Pictures and starring Greg Kinnear, Paulina Garcia and Jennifer Ehle), and Executive Producer of 2014 Sundance-, Berlinale-, and Tribeca-premiering feature LOVE IS STRANGE, (distributed by Sony Pictures Classics and starring John Lithgow, Alfred Molina, Marisa Tomei and Cheyenne Jackson). Little Men and Love is Strange are both directed by Sundance and Berlinale award-winner Ira Sachs (KEEP THE LIGHTS ON), his Yale classmate. LITTLE MEN is Sachs's sixth Sundance film.
Jim is also an Executive Producer of 2016 Tribeca Film Festival-premiering dramatic feature film AWOL, directed by Deb Shoval. Starring Lola Kirke (Mozart In The Jungle, on Amazon, Cannes 2015 Chopard Trophy winner) and Breeda Wool (UnREAL, on Lifetime).

His producing focus in raising capital for indie films has included the assembing of conventional teams of investors to using crowd-funding and hybrid investor-fan donor funding models. Similarly, his films have found a range of distribution plans, from traditional distributors to self-distribution.
In 2016 he was one of the producers chosen for the selective Berlinale/Berlin International Film Festival European Film Market's Co-Production Program. As a dual-national (USA and Germany), Jim is elegible for German cultural funds for qualified European film co-productions.
Jim was an above-the-title Producer of Tennessee Williams’ THE TWO-CHARACTER PLAY at New World Stages, off Broadway (2013) starring Amanda Plummer and Brad Dourif, critically acclaimed by chief theater critic of The New York Times Ben Brantley ("Sensational, Hilarious and Powerful. A Raging Conflagration!"), among others.
He was financially involved in the 2010 Broadway Tony Award-winning LA CAGE AUX FOLLES (Kelsey Grammer, Douglas Hodge, Harvey Fierstein), and ELLING (Brendan Fraser, Dennis O'Hare, Jennifer Coolidge). In Summer 2014 he co-produced the experimental variety show AUDITION in the artists' colony of Provincetown, MA, headlined by famed NYC performer Kevin Aviance and NYC comedian and "Boy in a dress" Marti Gould Cummings, becoming the first producer to bring drag performer Bianca Del Rio to a Provincetown stage.
He is lead producer and distributor of multiple festival award-winning indie romantic comedy feature films BEARCITY (2010, two Los Angeles Outfest Grand Jury Awards, Oslo GLFF Audience best feature) and BEARCITY 2: The Proposal (2012, Los Angeles Outfest Under The Stars at the John Anson Ford) starring Kathy Najimy (Sister Act), Gerald McCullouch (CSI) and Stephen Guarino (ABC's Happy Endings), directed by Doug Langway (Raising Heroes) and is Executive Producer of the forthcoming BEARCITY 3, also starring Najimy, set to premiere in 2016 at a prestigious festival, not yet publicly announced.
Jim has been a Board member of the Provincetown International Film Festival and Film Society. He participates in the 'Yale In Hollywood,' 'Columbia University Entertainment,' and "UCLA Extension" entertainment alumni networks.
Prior to producing he served in national security assignments as a Senior Congressional Adviser, US Department of State; a Legislative Liaison and Staff Officer, Office of the Director of National Intelligence; and as a Staff Detailee to the U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence's investigation of the controversial Rendition, Detention and Interrogation Program.
He was a graduate of the Broadway League & Theatre Development Fund’s Commercial Theatre Institute, elite 14-week Advanced Producing Program (2011).
